Three days of Technique, Choreography, History and Games, taught by Artistic Director Mark Yonally and Rehearsal Director Sterling Harris. The Intermediate Level (10am-2pm each day) is intended for students with 2-5 years of tap dance training. The Advanced Level (1pm - 5pm each day) is intended for students with 5+ years of tap dance training. Students will experience life as a professional dancer in Chicago Tap Theatre. They will learn the same technique used by the Company, develop their musicality and deepen their knowledge of tap history. They will also learn a piece of CTT choreography! Each day, students will participate in technique classes with their level. Students from both levels will combine for lunch/lectures on relevant topics. The intensive will conclude with a showing for parents on the final day. CTT will be following all CDC, IL, and Chicago guidelines and recommendations regarding COVID-19 protocols at the time of the event. The early-bird discount is available through June 6th. Regular price is $275 per person, per level.
