REGISTRATION CLOSED - THIS EVENT HAS ENDED. Four days of Technique, Choreography, History and Games, taught by Artistic Director Mark Yonally and Rehearsal Director Sterling Harris. THIS INTENSIVE IS IN-PERSON ONLY. Level 1 (10am-2pm CDT each day) is intended for students with little or no choreographic experience. This level focuses on solo choreography. Level 2 (1pm-5pm CDT each day) is for students who have previously participated in CTT's Choreography Intensive, or by approval based on video submission. This level focuses on group choreography. This program will focus on honing students' choreography skills. Each day, students will participate in technique classes with their level, but the majority of each day's time will be spent developing works of choreography that reflects their ideas and aesthetic, and helps them find their own authentic voice as choreographers. Students will leave this Intensive with a greater understanding of who they are and what they care about and how that impacts their creations as artists. Students from both levels will combine for lunch/lectures on relevant topics, and for choreography exercises. The intensive will conclude with a showing for parents on the final day. This intensive will be offered in-person ONLY with limited availability. CTT will be following all CDC, IL, and Chicago guidelines and recommendations regarding COVID-19 protocols.
