Tap Dance Day Celebration: Bridging the Gap One Step at a Time will include a lecture & a performance featuring many of Chicago’s all-star tap performers. PERFORMANCE: BRIDGING THE GAP ONE STEP AT A TIME Representing the breadth of diversity of Chicago tap dance, this performance will be a celebration of the inclusivity, connection, & talent of some of Chicago’s all-star performers. This performance will feature Billy Siegenfeld, Chicago Tap Theatre, Jimmy Payne Jr., Kendra Jorstad, Marty + Jessica Bronson, M.A.D.D. Rhythms, Nico Rubio, Patti Vickerman, Rich Ashworth, Steven Spanopoulos, & Tre Dumas. TAP DANCE DAY LECTURE: HISTORY + JAZZ This hour-long lecture will be part tap history, part jazz history, led by Chicago Tap All-Stars founders Bril Barrett & Mark Yonally. This organization was born to bring unity and connection across the entire tap community.
